Afrin under occupation (177):

The villages of “Hassan Dera, Shingeleh” – massive demographic change and property appropriation, the death of a woman by fire, kidnapping and arbitrary arrests

When the feet of “Muhammad Al-Jassem-Abu Amsha” and other mercenaries trampled the lands of Afrin and started corruption and criminality against the area and its people, and still, the sheikhs and legislators of the so-called “revolution and jihad” did not move, and they were not concerned at the time with the case of the martyr Ahmed Sheikho from “Sheikh Al-Hadid”, who died as a result of severe torture, while their voices were mobilized after they found “Abu Amsha” insulting his agents and their honor; And here is “Sheikh Ahmed Al-Helwi-Abu Ali”, a member of the “Restitution Committee” talking about his crimes and the necessity of his execution for these crimes, and here we want to remind that all the militias and their leaders in the administration of the Turkish occupation are no less than Al-Jassem and his group “Sultan Suleiman Shah” in corruption and criminality, here is part of it:

= Hassan Dera “Hesen Dêra” village:

It belongs to Bulbul district and is 18 km away from it to the south, and it consists of about 140 houses and has two farms (Gazeh = 5 houses, and Bakhshah =10 houses), in which there were about / 800 / original Kurdish inhabitants, of whom /35 family = 125 people/ remained, and the rest were forcibly displaced, and about /105/ families = 650 people/ of the recruiters were resettled there, except for some tents in the vicinity of the village.

Three houses in the Kazeh farm were partially destroyed by shelling and one by a landmine explosion.

At the beginning of the occupation of the village – mid-March 2018, the militias did not allow the people to return to it, so they had to stay in the nearby village of “Shorba” for about two weeks, during this period, that militia stole what they wanted, and a group of them also lured the citizen (SS) with his modern jeep out of the village to force him to abandon it, but he resisted them and they shot him, but he was able to return with his car to his family while the group fled.

The Turkish army seized “Gazeh” farm belonging to “Ismat Sheikho and his brothers and Muhammad Hassan Sheikho” and took it as a military point.

The “Ahfad al-Rasul” militia, led by the so-called “Abu Juma’a”, took control of the village and seized about 110 houses including their contents and about 15 shops and sewing workshops, including those belonging to “Anwar Sheikho, Muhammad Rashid Sheikho, and Shaban Seido.” And on an olive press belonging to “Ismat Sheikho” and two poultry farms belonging to “Mohammed Hassan Sheikho, Manan Othman Alo” and their buildings are currently used for raising livestock.

The militia also stole 75% of the contents of the rest of the houses, including supplies, copper utensils, gas cylinders, tools and electrical equipment, diesel and petrol engines, small generators, an electric generator set for amps, and two large electricity-generating groups to operate a drinking water pumping station, as well as two agricultural tractors, a pick-up car, a taxi, and two motorcycles.

It seized about /6/ thousand olive trees and (400) apple and grape trees, including those belonging to “Ismat Sheikho, Abdeen Horo, Hajj Hanan Hamza, Saeed Hanan, and Manan Alo.”

Royalties were imposed at a rate of 20-25% on olive harvests belonging to absent citizens entrusted to their relatives, and a percentage of the yield of olive presses.

They unjustly cut down 140 olive trees belonging to Muhammad Hassan Sheikho and 20 trees belonging to the late Ramzi Sheikho, and the entire cypress tree in the vicinity of the olive press at the village junction, and largely in the forests of Mount Hawar overlooking the village from the western side, in order to timber and manufacture Coal and trade.

There is overgrazing of livestock between olive fields and agricultural lands, without any of the people daring to prevent it.

Four citizens (two men and two children) were injured to varying degrees during the massacre of the Mahmudiya neighborhood in Afrin on March 16, 2018, where the citizen “Rasheed Manan Othman” became crippled in his foot.

On 12/4/2018, the citizen “Zakia Muhammad Bakr – born in 1962” from the people of the village was martyred on the human smuggling route between the towns of “Nubbul and Al-Zahraa” and the city of Aleppo, and her gold jewelry, money and mobile phone were stolen from her, and her body was buried in the cemetery of the village of Ahras, north of Aleppo.

The remaining residents were subjected to various types of violations, including kidnapping, arbitrary arrest, insults, torture, material extortion and others, where the citizen “Furat Mahmoud Ibrahim – born in 1993” was arrested and forcibly hidden in Al-Ra’i prison since March 28, 2018 and after about three years he was transferred to Marateh prison and released.

At first, the militia of the “Sultan Suleiman Shah Division” took control of the village, but it withdrew in favor of the “Al-Hamzat Division” militia, which takes the house of the citizen “Jamil Atash” as a military headquarters and the house of “Luqman Muhammad son of Awni” as a private prison, and the militia of “The Choir of Glory”also shares control of the village; Among the houses that were seized were “Ali Hassan Hassan, Sheikhmous Muhammad son of Ibrahim, Hassan Karshoud, Imad Hassan, Adel Atash, Nihad Mahmoud son of Daoud, Ahmed Kojar Mahmoud, Salah Atash son of Muhammad, Akash Hassan Hassan, Shawkat Rashid Atash, Ahmed Jelo Mohamed.

The militias seized an entire floor building belonging to the “Atash family” in the city of Afrin, near the “Afrin” hospital.

The people’s seasons of olives, almonds and sumac were subjected to consecutive thefts before the eyes of their owners, and an olive field belonging to the family of “Mohammed Atash” consisting of /800/ Khalkhali olive trees near the town of “Maydan Akbis” was completely cut down, burned and overgrazed until it was exterminated, as well as /100/ perennial olive trees for the family near the town of Bulbul, and several perennial palm and oak trees were cut down in the vicinity of the village.

The militias also seized thousands of olive and almond trees belonging to the forcibly displaced, including (/500/ olives for “Juma Karshoud”, /600/ olives for “Sulaiman Karshoud’s sons”, /200/ olives + / 700/ almonds for “Hussain Muhammad Qanbar”). /200/ olives + /100/ almonds for “Nuhad Mahmoud”, /500/ olives for “Ali Karshoud’s sons”, /150/ olives for “Ahmed Karshoud”).

The people who remained in the village were subjected to various types of violations, including arbitrary arrest, insults, material extortion and others, and putting more pressure on them in order to displace them; The occupation authorities have arrested and forcibly disappeared the citizen, “Sheikhmous Muhammad Mahmoud, 39,” since March 2018, and his fate is still unknown, without his relatives being able to know anything about him so far.

= A woman from arrest to death by burning:

She was living alone in an old rural house in the village of “Rota” – Mabata / Maabatli, sick and in a deplorable condition, and when the neighbors noticed that there was no movement in the house for more than / 24 / hours, they entered it on Thursday morning, 12/23/2021 AD, to find her burned to death in front of a stove fire.

She is the citizen “Zainab Abdo / 61 years old” who was arrested with her husband, “Othman Majid Naasan” and three of her sons and two wives of them with their two daughters on June 7, 2020 AD by the “military police in Afrin” and Turkish intelligence on trumped-up charges, and she was released in the middle of last July From Marateh prison – Afrin due to illness, while the fate of the rest is still unknown, except for “Zulekha Walid Omar – one of the wives” who lost her mind and was released in mid-August.

“Zainab” came out of prison to find her house, and the houses of her children in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin seized and inhabited by members of the military police militia, so she was displaced and faced a painful fate.
